Resumen : El cultivo in vitro es una herramienta invaluable que promueve una serie de ventajas, por ejemplo, dar soluciones a los inconvenientes que conlleva la propagación de cultivos estériles debido a su condición de triploides, como es el caso del Barraganete...
Descripción : In vitro cultivation is an invaluable tool that promotes a range of benefits, the primary is provide solutions to the problems which involves propagation of sterile cultures due to their status as triploid, as the case of Barraganete variety. Therefore, the objective of this project is to standardize a protocol for in vitro culture to efficiently produce biomass plantain (Musa spp. AAB), with the aim of leaving an open door for different applications that can generate on the future such as cloning with highly desirable agronomic characteristics during the whole year, production of new hybrids and obtaining transgenic plants, among others. In the disinfection process, the explants were subjected to 12 treatments. These were generated from 3 concentrations of sodium hypochlorite (2%, 10% and 20%); 2 ranges of time (45 min and 90 min) and levels in reguard of the number of washes (2 and 3). Then, the explants were planted in 9 different MS culture medium, enriched with 3 concentrations of sucrose (20; 30; 40 g/L), naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) (2.30; 13.95; 46.50 mg/L) and N6-benciladenina (BA) (2.5; 6; 10 mg/L). The explants introduced in medium supplemented with 6 mg/L of BA; 13.95 mg/L NAA and 30 g/L of sucrose, generated a callus of 6.90 g weight, becoming the best treatment of the experiment.
