Resumen : La fruta milagrosa: Synsepalum dulcificum, es una planta perenne, de la familia de las Sapotaceacea, y originaria del occidente central africano de Daniell et al., 2019...
Descripción : The miracle fruit (Synsepalum dulcificum) is a perennial species, from the Sapotaceacea family, and native to West Central Africa (Daniell et al., 2019). It has been shown that the miracle fruit as the sole source of miraculin, can be detected in medicine to carry out better control in the fundamental diet for a person with diabetes. The objective of the research was to study the reproductive phenology and the diseases of the miraculous fruit (Synsepalum dulcificum) on the Ecuadorian coast: dry season. The field phase was carried out in the province of Esmeraldas, in the Canton Quininde. The Union Km .111. ECUAFORESTAR. The data analyzes of the variables considered in the study included in floral phenology and reproductive physiology were processed using descriptive statistics obtaining average, coefficient of variation, standard deviation. The BBCH scale analyzed the phenological stages of the main growth of the plant 5-8. In the identification of diseases, the incidence and severity of the fungi present in the leaf and fruits was estimated. The field samples were processed in the laboratory to identify the pathogens, making the morphological characterization. In the observation period, all the reproductive phases were identified, this is because this plant is of slow and permanent growth, so that throughout the cycle new structures increase and others can be lost. The characterization of the reproductive structures corresponds to a pentameric flower, hermaphrodite, super ovary with a pubescent base, oval shaped pollen, trilobate. Probably morphologically identified, Colletotrichum sp. and Mucor sp., having an incidence in Colletotrichum sp. of leaves and fruits of 80.16 and 59.52 percent and high severity of 39.4 percent and 41.4 percent; in Mucor sp. an incidence in fruits of 43.65 and high severity of 63.1percent was obtained, being the same the causal agents of diseases such as anthracnose and soft rot of the fruit.
