| Descripción : | The objective of this work is to carry out and analyze the feasibility of a business plan designed for the importation and commercialization of passive security systems based on artificial intelligence from the United States focused on intra and inter-provincial transport companies in the province of Pichincha. During the last years the accident levels in Ecuador due to traffic accidents remain constant, causing regrettable human losses and high material costs. The automotive park of buses in Ecuador is 27,839 units and in Pichincha there are 6,186 registered buses (INEC, 2019) with a tragic balance of 24,595 traffic accidents nationwide in 2019 (Agencia Nacional de Tránsito, 2020). Having technological systems and devices that increase the safety of transport units for all users becomes a differentiating factor that helps transport operators retain customer loyalty. Mobileye's Shield + devices more than reduce frontal accidents by 27 percent and prevent drivers from possible external road risks, create a positive financial impact on their users by optimizing fuel consumption and reducing costs associated with material damage for traffic accidents. During a detailed financial evaluation, it is understood that the business plan is viable since the valuation criteria are positive such as: positive NPV of $ 140,619, a recovery period of 4 years and one month, the profitability index of $ 1.70 and Last but not least, an IRR of 28.75 percent and 35.45 percent for the project and the investor, respectively, with discount rates of 19.45 percent for CAPM and 14.24 percent for WACC. |
