| Descripción : | This document analyzed the Initial Education Curriculum of Ecuador for corporal expression of children from three to five years old and the American guides NASPE (National Association of Sport and Physical Education). The purpose was to determine how and to what extent these guides could be a complement to the Curriculum. This proposal started from the concern about childhood obesity evidenced worldwide. Teaching corporal expression could be the solution to this problem however there was a lack of motivation and interest from the teachers due to this proposal, becoming this an issue. The methodology used in this investigation was qualitative. The literature review observed the importance of corporal expression in preschool. In addition, the research founded that there is a necessity of a better preparation and knowledge from the teachers in order to apply the curriculum in a correct way and meet the standards. Finally, both documents complemented each other and inspired an interesting proposal of corporal expression in children. It was an example of integration of NASPE and the Curriculum in a planning activity with the objective of seeing an outline of what is going to be the new document linking both parts. |
