Descripción : | The mora de Castilla (Rubus glaucus) crop is of great importance at a national and international level; within Ecuador the cultivated area is approximately of 5 247 ha. This crop represents a huge responsibility for farmers due to the implementation of new cultural practices used to reduce the use of synthetic products. The present study was carried out at the experimental farm of Universidad de las Américas, located in the parish of Nono, Quito, located at 2720 meters above the sea level with an average temperature of 14 degrees Celsius. The investigation was executed in a 4-year-old open pit of blackberry plants. The study pretends to evaluate the effect of different technological alternatives for the control of Botrytis sp. on the crop of mora de castilla. The products applied were: one synthetic (carbendazim-Carbenpac), two biological (bacterial metabolites- Bioseb Organics, Trichoderma spp.-Trichomix), one organic (mirtaceae extract- Iridium) and a control (silwet plus water). The applications were carried out every 15 days for the synthetic product and every 8 days for the biologicals, organic and the control. A randomized complete block design (RCBD) was used with 3 repetitions and a total of 10 experimental units. The studied variables were: botrytis incidence (percent), yield (g/plot), weight (g), polar and equatorial diameter (mm), firmness (N), total soluble solids (Brix), titratable acidity (percent citric acid) and pH (log H plus). The data analysis was done using Infostat (student version) and Tukey test at 5 percent. Through a weekly incidence analysis, it was possibly to identify that the products such as Carbenpac (Carbendazim), Trichomix (Trichoderma spp.) and Iridium (mirtaceae extract) had a control in the incidence of Botrytis sp. in the fruit of mora de Castilla. It is very important to highlight that the evaluation was done in the dry period (june-september) and in November precipitations began. The technological alternatives that were applied did not affect the physical-chemical properties of mora de Castilla. |
