Descripción : This project is based on a business plan focused on the creation of a cafeteria for people who suffer from Diabetes, located in the Cumbayá valley. The resent is conformed of different chapters that describe essential details for the development of said business plan. To begin with, a literature review was developed, which encompasses diabetes’ concept, history and problematic, which helped to acquire a clearer, more realistic panorama of the subject. Further, a macro-environment analysis was carried out, using PESTEL, a PORTER industry analysis, and a market analysis which was based off a descriptive type investigation, applying data recollection, interviewing and structured polls, among other techniques. These approaches provided valuable information to determine accurate strategies to develop this project. In the same way, the selected strategy was differentiation, due to the target audience to which the business is addressing. Following this criterion, different marketing strategies were envisioned: service, production, costs, distribution, promotion and communication. Similarly, interviews with experts in the areas of food and beverages and human nutrition was a vital step for this project. These interviews were fundamental when creating operational strategies, menu definition, human resources management, among other necessary elements, to ensure the establishment’s optimal performance. Finally, a financial analysis was carried out, which encompassed several indicators to help determine the projects viability.
