Since ancient times mixtures of chemical compounds have been used in order to control pests and diseases that leaves residues in food. For this reason, it is important to control crop diseases with a low impact on the environment and health. The study’s evaluation lasted four months, in which it was determined: The effect of Trichoderma spp. in the yield and physical chemical quality of the blackberry fruit of Castilla (Rubus glaucus Benth), which was cultivated in greenhouse and open field, in Nono Experimental Farm of the UDLA University; Located at an altitude of 2710 meters above sea level, with a temperature of 20 degrees celsius in the greenhouse and 14 degrees celsius in the open field. To stablish the physicochemical quality, laboratories from UDLA University were used to determine titratable acidity, color, weight, pH, Brix degrees. To stablish the yield, the amount of fruit was harvested weekly, and the experimental design was a completely randomized block design with four replications and two treatments. The biological product used was Trichoeb 1.31 x109 which contains spores of Trichoderma spp. The biological product Trichoeb had apositive effect on blackberry plants, increasing their physicochemical characteristics, vigor and yield. The environment factor also had a positive influence, as much in greenhouse as open field, especially on the yield and vigor of plants. The average yield of fruits of Castilla blackberry was higher in the greenhouse (350.9 g per plot-1) than in the open field (79.9 g per plot-1). From the study, it can be concluded that the use of Trichoderma spp. Benefit the growth and development of plants, so it can be used in the future as a biological controller to reduce the incidence of diseases and improve the characteristics of blackberry plants.en
