Descripción : According to Trade Facilitation Office Canada (TFO Canada), the nut market will increase, over the past few years; both the Government and people seek to improve their eating habits by changing their diet. One of the incentives for the Canadian population to change these eating habits are governmental policies through a food guide, which details the exact portion of food that a person should consume, as well as rules that detail the nutritional value of the products. In its labels, however, the most relevant is the campaign based on “Eating well, with food from Canada” in which it reflects several aspects such as sustainability, eco-friendly, organic, among others. For these reasons, it is proposed to carry out a business plan in which it is forecast to export dried macadamia nuts to Montreal for five years, mainly because it is one of the most populated cities and the commercialization of macadamia nut is not present. This brings a business incentive. According to market research, the target segment is 2,553,631 inhabitants, focusing on Canadian households with children as mentioned above, in turn; the product has an acceptance of 93%, which shows that the project is viable. The export strategy to be used is direct, that is, to reach the Canadian importer, through TFO Canada and Pro Ecuador. The product is based on offering the final consumer dried organic macadamia nut without additives or preservatives. Its presentation will be in units of 100 grams with Doypack, that is to say, that can be kept once opened and the product is not damaged. The price for each product is 6 Canadian dollars. The initial investment is 27.033.59 USD and only loss is obtained in the first year of operations, which will be recovered trough the next years.
