Descripción : This essay is based on the media coverage of Ecuador 30S on Twitter and how the media coverage change since this moment. The target of this investigation is to point out how the methods of informing by journalist and media to the people change. Through the personal twitter accounts of journalist, who cover the 30S in real time, inside and outside of the Police Hospital, the people obtain testimonies of what was happening. Everyone, with different views, but with only one goal, that was informing their followers from the site of the news. Furthermore, interviews were conducted to digital journalist of Ecuavisa, EcuadorTv and Diario El Comercio, to obtain information and data on how the media has adjusted to the new digital platforms of information. Also, two journalists were interviewed, one of Diario El Universo and one of a governmental entity, so they can tell us how the media where they work change, so they could adapt to the use of Twitter, knowing that in Ecuador, the 30S spot a before and after in the use of the tool by journalists. In addition, the journalists also address topics of how the media currently handle tools for live streaming. Social Networks plays a fundamental part in communication and they have become an ally to journalist all over Ecuador, this was the conclusion of this investigation. Also, the impact of these tools, has taken journalists to set and gain a position in these networks, so they can inform faster and in addition promote a relationship with their followers. On the other hand, Twitter is a portable tool that grants the journalist access and post information in real time. Twitter gave rise to new forms of languages, new narratives, also media use this tool to attract traffic to them and for live coverage. This investigation also states that is necessary to have prior professional education on the use of digital tools, so journalists can be prepared for any task.
