The per capita consumption of poultry meat has increased by 6 percent since 2010 in Ecuador, so do poultry production by 11.23 percent. The objective of this project is to evaluate the effect of applying bovine plasma protein AP920 and xantophyllic pigment Aditcolor Plus F at poultry diet at Reina del Cisne Company, located in El Oro province. The variables measured were: weight, feed consumption, mortality and feed conversion in broilers to 48 days of age. For the experiment with xantophyllic pigment, the variation in color of chicken feet was evaluated too. The study used 800 mixed broilers breed Cobb 500; 400 were used for evaluate bovine plasma protein and 400 for evaluate xantophyllic pigment. In the case of bovine plasma experiment, doses used were 0 percent, 0.5 percent, 1 percent and 2 percent with five replicates. The doses for xantophyllic pigment experiment were 0 percent, 0.10 percent, 0.15 percent and 0.20 percent with five replicates per treatment. The results show that there were no statistically significant differences for the variables: weight, consumption, mortality and feed conversion in experiments with bovine plasma and xantofílico pigment. It is because the conditions in which the experiment was conducted did not represent a major challenge in the animal development so that the product with bovine plasma do not provided immune function in the chicken organism. In the experiment with pigment, between the treatments there was a statistically significant difference for variable: color by applying xantophyllic pigment in diets. The treatment with higher dose of pigments was the one that had a better color. It is because of the absorption of beta-carotene and xanthophylls in chicken organism and the subsequent metabolic process in the liver, where the pigment jointed with lipids and stained in adipose tissue. Based on benefit –cost analysis, control treatments had better income in both experiments. However, plasma application is recommended under unfavorable conditions; in the case of pigment application, it is necessary in order to get greater market acceptance.en
