| Descripción : | This reseach analyzes the impact of the direct monetary transfer policy conditioned on child labor in Ecuador. Child labor is a common social phenomenon in poor households. In Ecuador, human development (BDH) has reduced child labor. However, the impact of this policy has a negative effect on the elasticity of the labor supply compared to the household and the percentage represented by the BDH in comparison with the number of children in the household. In addition, there are segments of the population most vulnerable to child labor, including male children, who are in the region. Sierra and Amazonia, in rural areas and self-defined as indigenous, as well as those who receive household income, and characteristics of the head of household as their low training and employment negatively affected child labor.
