Descripción : The main object of this work is the social and economic reactivation of the Nor-Occidental sector of the DMQ from new Valle de Pomasqui is land policy planning, giving it a central role in the District. Recovering the public space for the pedestrian and creating equipment from a deep diagnosis of the area are some of the main points of the urban concept. These projects, both, urban and architectural, will emphasise the unique cultural and geographical caracteristics of the zone, converting it in a balanced, inclusive, integral and sustentaible sector at once. From the analisys of the zone, arises de need of creating a project capable of receiving the low-income population that has been invading natural protection areas during the years as a result of the housing deficit in the city. This is why Social Housing in San Antonio de Pichincha is proposed. Housing will raise as a tool so that low-income families enhace their living conditions, wich will transform and adapt to their needs. This is why housing will be treated from a holistic approach considering not only economical factors, but also spacial and contructive. Housing is not longer a roof in which a family is hosted, it also includes a context in which it i is placed. This context includes public space, comunity enclosures and transitional spaces, creating a neighbourhood that satisfies both, physical an demotional needs of the human being.
