Descripción : A proposed Re-Zoning in the city of Quito, Ecuador was performed between the parishes of San Antonio de Pichincha and Pomasqui. After a diagnosis which indicated all of the problems that are facing the sectors as well as the potential that characterizes them. It was possible to create an urban proposal that transforms these parishes as part of the Distrito Metropolitano de Quito (Metropolitan District of the City of Quito) so it will be able to meet the needs with facilities and equipment of high quality such as Center for Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. The Center for Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation will be established and located in the parish of San Antonio, whose main objective is to spread the unique healing properties that are in this territory (Misael Acosta Solís’ hypothesis). Due to weather conditions, soil characteristics and composition, such as the erosion caused by the action of sunlight, reduces and even eliminates rheumatic ailments in people.The project is located along the Monjas River inside a green-area to bring tranquility and seclusion to habitants. In addition, a great landscape by the gorge of the river and mountains that are amenities of the Valley Pomasqui. The project consists of three main buildings: physical therapy, rehabilitation, and natural medicine, which together with the unique healing properties of the sector will give patients a comprehensive treatment integral for their recovery. The patient’s environment outside the center will bring tranquility, which is an important feature of the project because its designed outdoor spaces that contribute to patients’ therapies and allow people to have direct contact with the dry climate.
