Descripción : This business plan aims to create a themed coffee shop in Latacunga city. The cafeteria will contribute to the local development creating jobs and healthy and recreational environment for the citizens. It will also bring utility to the investor. A themed coffee shop with cinematic atmosphere and small cinemas is addressed to local population of medium-high and high social stratum looking for new and creative entertainment places where they can share with friends and family a good movie or a pleasant conversation with a cup of coffee. Actually the prepared food industry is currently one of the largest and most diverse in the country to meet the basic Ecuadorian diet. It contributes 0.51 % to the quarterly PIB and has an annual 5% increasing jobs, reflecting growth and entering new competitors. Moreover, a new business proposal in the industry for the themed coffee shop is achieved by added value and differentiation. Regarding the added value is small cinemas with a wide range of films. Differentiation is the film decoration with a wide and relaxed. The market study shows a 67 % acceptance of the idea and 49% of consumer intention, which means that the implementation of the business plan, is an interesting option for Latacunga city. The themed coffee shop management team will be integrated by four highly qualified and experienced people. Total investment required for the project is USD 35,279.87, distributed as follows: 43% (USD 15,279.87) with equity and 57% (USD 20,000.00) with external financing. Finally, Concerning the financial estimation, in a normal scenario a NPV Net Present Value of USD 90,993.25 and ROI - Return on Investment of 53.29 %, rate greater than the discount rate of 17.31 % which shows the positive viability of the business plan.
