| Descripción : | Exclusive breastfeeding (EB) has been seen by several worldwide organizations as one of the solutions to fight against the different problems of malnutrition present in most countries. With that being said, this research paper has as a main goal to prove if women that are in higher economic quintile tend to breastfeed for a shorter period of time than those mothers that are in lower economic tiers, for which it was estimated a probit economic model. The results obtained confirm such hypothesis, in other words, mothers in the higher economic quintiles (q4 and q5) demonstrated a lower probability of using exclusive breastfeeding than the lower economic quintiles (q1 and q2). |
