| Descripción : | Triangular cooperation emerges as a mechanism for international cooperation, where two or more countries form a coalition to share their resources for the benefit of a less developed third country. The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is a region with a high percentage of vulnerability to natural disasters and therefore required greater attention and cooperation from the more developed countries. This paper aims to develop an analysis through the liberal institutionalism theory regarding the effectiveness of the Joint Fund for Triangular Cooperation generated by Spain and Chile as a support to the Caribbean Community in the prevention of natural disasters account of the institutions, interaction, and effectiveness. Through this research project, the idea that is developed is that although triangular cooperation can be effective through the participation and knowledge of three actors, when carrying out a project, helping to share its resources, whether economic, political or technological, however, this effectiveness does not guarantee adequate implementation, since it would depend on the actions of each government and how citizens receive the information.
