| Resumen : | El objetivo y la finalidad de esta investigación se basa en mirar desde un panorama general de América Latina y Europa la situación de la inclusión de personas con discapacidad en el ámbito turístico, para así profundizar en Ecuador y hacer comparaciones con la región y otros continentes. Se busca mostrar los pequeños avances que ha tenido el país, analizando las cuatro regiones que lo conforman, pero centrando la investigación en Baños de Agua Santa, que es la ciudad que presenta mayor desarrollo en este aspecto, y en Quito, la capital del país y por ende la ciudad más importante. Pero a su vez, se quiere visibilizar lo mucho que le falta tanto a la parte pública, principalmente al Ministerio de Turismo, como privada, agencias de viajes, etc. del Ecuador para alcanzar un nivel básico de calidad en cuanto a turismo inclusivo. Se analizan los resultados de acuerdo a estadísticas y censos, que ha tenido Ecuador en proyectos relacionados a inclusión a personas con discapacidad en la sociedad y turismo accesible. Un proyecto importante a mencionar es la creación de un Plan Nacional de Discapacidades que contempla como parte de sus políticas al turismo. Además, cuál es la incidencia y cuáles son los resultados de tener en el poder por más de una década a una persona con discapacidad. Esta investigación abarca testimonios, cifras y declaraciones desde diferentes ámbitos, tales como instituciones públicas gubernamentales, instituciones privadas, turistas con discapacidad, expertos del medio y personas naturales. |
| Descripción : | The purpose of this research is based on looking from a general overview of Latin America and Europe the situation of the inclusion of people with disabilities in the tourism field, in order to deepen in Ecuador and make comparisons with the region and other continents. The investigation shows the small advances that It seeks to show the small advances that the country has had, analyzing the four regions that comprise it, but focusing on Baños de Agua Santa, which is the city that has the greatest development in this aspect, and in Quito, the capital of the country, so the most important city. At the same time, this investigation wants to make visible how much the public part is missing, mainly the Ministry of Tourism, as private, travel agencies, etc. from Ecuador to reach a basic level of quality in terms of inclusive tourism. The results are analyzed according to statistics and censuses, that Ecuador has had in projects related to inclusion of people with disabilities in society and accessible tourism. An important project to mention is the creation of a National Disability Plan that includes tourism as part of its policies. In addition, what is the incidence and what are the results of having a person with disabilities in government for more than a decade. This research covers testimonies, figures and statements from different fields, such as government public institutions, private institutions, tourists with disabilities, environmental experts and natural persons. |
