Descripción : The objective of this paper is to determine the feasibility of exporting alpaca wool sweaters for mountaineering to Germany, by conducting a market study of the industry and a financial analysis projected for five years To begin the investigation, the producers of alpaca wool were located in the provinces of Chimborazo and Bolívar, they had the necessary amount to carry out the project thanks to the increase of these camelids in recent years (an approximate growth of 25 percent). However, the population of alpacas in our country is still much lower than in Peru (3.8 million, 87percent of the world population), while in Ecuador the approximate population of alpacas is around 7,000. With the market research carried out in Germany, it was possible to determine the customer's consumption patterns, market trends and main competitors in the market, many of them with products made with synthetic fiber. Regarding the interviews carried out with experts, it was determined with what type of fiber you can work so that the sweater is light and maintains the same properties as a synthetic sweater, that is, breathable, lightweight and that retains heat. The financial evaluation resulted in the product being viable and profitable, even so, maintaining the price and the fixed prices for five years, as established in the contract with the distributor in Germany.
