On November 13, 2015, the president of France, François Hollande, announced that his country was at war with terrorism, after multiple terrorist attacks that began in January 2015 to the humorous magazine Charlie Hebdo until the Paris attacks in late November of that year.. With the clamor of "Al·lahu-àkbar” (Allah is great), ISIS ratified its sentence against the western world, by attacking France, cradle of modern democracy, which has historically maintained a policy of peace, cooperation and respect for International Law. These terrorist attacks marked a milestone that altered the international system once again after 9/11 with the fall of the twin towers, which continues to transform the current international reality. France received a blow that lead them to change their foreign policy to a more security-based form of operation as well as a revision of the impact caused by the attacks on the international system. Projecting it´s foreign policy at a bilateral, regional and global level. Through the European Union, the United States and multilateralism. Through the loop of Neorealism to explain the importance of alliance formation, balance of power and the predominance of security in order to protect itself from future attacks. Emmanuel Macron, the current French president, declared that ISIS is his enemy and to fight it, it’s necessary to establish a political transition in countries where the problem originated. France is a founding member of the most prominent international organizations and has used its position as a microphone to project its power outside.en
