In this project we propose a channel allocation algorithm (Scheduling), which allows improving the performance of cellular systems that use MIMO - OFDMA techniques using the (ZF) Zero-Forcing linear multi-user detector. The performance of the proposed scheme is verified by simulations in terms of the bit error rate (BER), considering (M-QAM) quadrature amplitude modulations. The proposed algorithm considers the fact that in a cellular system exists several users. Specifically, it is proposed to select a group of said users to transmit on the same frequency channel using the orthogonal frequency division multiple access technique (OFDMA). This is possible because the multiple inputs and multiple outputs (MIMO) technique is used. In this way, the proposed algorithm chooses the users looking for the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) to be increased. This is done by analyzing the channel matrices for different users. The computational complexity of the ZF linear multi-user detector is obtained in terms of the number of complex operations performed during the detection process that depend on the number of total users and the number of receiving antennas. The numerical results and the computational complexity evaluation show that the suboptimal linear detector with the proposed algorithm allows to compensate the loss of diversity that the ZF detector faces due to the interference. Specifically, this detector loses a degree of diversity when the system is overloaded by each interfering user. Hence, the proposed algorithm is an interesting alternative for future generation of mobile cellular systems so that they have a good performance, but with an adequate complexity implementation.en
