Descripción : Background: The scapular dyskinesia is an alteration of the synchrony between the joint complex that exists between the scapula and the thorax causing an alteration at the level of the shoulder and even of the entire upper limb. Objective: To compare the efficacy of conventional therapy or muscular reeducation in patients with grade II dyskinesia. Materials and methods: In this study, 20 subjects (women and men) between 15 and 17 years old were recruited, with medical diagnosis of scoliosis grade II scoliosis, which are part of an educational institution in the city of Quito. They were divided into two groups of 10 subjects randomly. In the control group conventional therapy was applied, in the experimental group muscular reeducation was applied. The variables assessed in the two groups at the beginning and end of the treatment were: 1) Position of the scapula 2) Functionality of the shoulder girdle 3) Pain in the area to be treated 4) Muscle activation during movement. Each of the variables corresponds to an objective and subjective test with the respective percentage of reliability. The research project was conducted in 14 sessions distributed in: two evaluations to be given during the first session and the 14th session the 12 remaining sessions were applied the designated treatment for each group.
