Resumen : Este proyecto tiene como fin la creación de una empresa llamada TRUCK LAND, la cual brindará un servicio integral para transporte pesado y estará ubicada en la parroquia de Pifo, cantón Quito dentro de la Gasolinera PDV…
Descripción : The aim of this project is to create a company called TRUCK LAND, the one that will provide a complete service for heavy transport and it will be located in Pifo, a town outside the city of Quito, within the PDV Gas Station. This service will include three essential maintenance works for trucks: oil change, wheel alignment and balancing; which will be performed by highly skilled technicians who will be able to provide a quality service 100% guaranteed. Likewise, the administrative staff will offer a personalized customer service which will help the company to get loyal and satisfied customers. The main strategy that will be used to enter the market, is signing strategic alliances with transportation companies, such as: TRANS PIONNER SA, which is located at the offices of the same gas station where Truckland expects to open its business; this company is well-recognized nationally, and has a fleet of 250 trucks; GRUPO ATLAS with a fleet of 30 trucks; and finally, MARCELINO CASTROS E HIJOS, with 25 trucks. TRUCK LAND expects to achieve a faster positioning in the market by using this strategy. In addition, after having done a survey in the Valley of Tumbaco, the results demonstrated that there is unmet demand of 3.340 services at that moment; showing that there are truck owners who would be willing to use the services provided by TRUCK LAND, which will help increasing the potential customers. At the end of this Project, a detailed financial study was conducted and projected for the next five years. The results obtained from this study were favorable, demonstrating that the project is feasible. The initial investment needed to start the business is $ 190.073,64, amount that will be financed 28% by contributions from its partners and the 72% left, through a credit granted by the National Finance Corporation (CFN). The recovery time of the investment is two years. The main financial indicators also proved the profitability of this business by obtaining a TIR of 64% and NPV of $303.907,06.
