Descripción : This thesis is main purpose is to develop the architectural design of equipment destined to be applicable in an existing urban environment; Quito, which helps to efficiently perform activities within the city and to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants. To achieve this, it has completed three structuring phases of the project; A. Urban land planning. Pomasqui Valley was the chosen context for the urban proposal, among all students and teachers of the workshop. This land is one of the main points of new urban development of the Metropolitan District of Quito, which grows rapidly with poor urban logic. It was determined that this region works as a bedroom city and is the access from villages from the north east of the country to Quito, generating mobility issues. In response to this background a new way to manage public transport has been proposed and a ground transport station would be implemented, which is the topic to be developed in this thesis. B. Research. The framework covers issues related to roads, transport and transport stations, to understand the working set of all elements encompassed in the transport system of the city and thus fit properly to the project. The second important point is to look at research environment from a macro level; city, to an average level; territory until the immediate environment; neighborhood. With these analyzes already have the necessary information to begin the development of the architectural project. C. Project development. This culminating stage combines several factors at different stages, such as programming, relationships between areas, space needs, environmental characteristics, objectives and intentions of the author for the building, etc. What this author is pursuing; design a station that exceeds its conventional areas to complement with other activity needs of residents, also seeks a spatial configuration that gives more importance to the pedestrian to vehicle and generate spatial continuity between spaces to promote their use, quality and relation with the environment. This document explains seven chapters arranged in way that the sequence of steps is understood and the information relates from the broadest level to reach more specific. The contents are arranged as follows; Analysis and Proposal for urban planning, defining the theme of thesis research, choice and environmental analysis, conceptual proposal, architectural proposal and the final result expressed in graphics memory.
