Descripción : Ecuador is a country that consumes coffee, but in recent years, tea consumption has increased. This has allowed the marketing of tea or scented tea spread throughout the country. (El Comercio, 2012, parr. 1). This type of trend drives the development of a business plan in order to create a new concept of what are aromatic infusions, for which it is intended to create a producer and marketer of coca tea in the city of Quito, with value added through the use of fine organic cocoa aroma and medicinal plants. The industry in which the business will unfold is the food and beverage, which is currently fragmented, as there is a wide diversity of companies (10,040) that comprise it, although there are chances to enter in this industry, as the investment amounts range from the creation of small businesses to large companies. On the other hand this industry plays a high sustainable and rapid growth in the last five years, with projected growth for 2013 of 7.6 %, and is one of the industrys largest contributors to national PIB, being from USD 2,244,341 for 2012, revealing that there are business opportunities. Market research reveals data that allows to know about the target audience, the same who are interested in innovative products with new flavors and odors, as tea, aromatic infusions or tisanes, 29% of which consumes it daily and 17% three times per week, in addition to accepting the idea and purchase probability have great reception, and that 88% would be willing to consume and 65% probably would buy it, showing great acceptance of those surveyed about cocoa tea. It will use the generic strategy of differentiation proposed by Michael Porter to enter the market, investors also were part of the team that started operations with FANCI, in order to control all the processes, plan the necessary activities in the efficient production of cocoa tea at reduced costs. Upon financial analysis for the three scenarios: optimistic, pessimistic and normal with an initial investment of USD 63.672 and the opportunity cost of 10.01 % and 11.94 % for scenarios leveraged and unleveraged, it was determined that the plan is feasible since the VAN is positive for all three scenarios with USD 30.013,47 for the normal scenario and leveraged IRR greater than the opportunity cost for the three scenarios of 12 % for the normal scenario leveraged.
