| Descripción : | The migration of aboriginal peoples located in the Republic of Ecuador is linked to institutional abandonment by the state in rural areas of the country. For what indigenous peoples see in the city of Quito a horizon of economic, intellectual and human development opportunities that make the Ecuadorian capital a center of racial, economic and cultural dispute. This research shows and documents the signs of racism to which indigenous migrants are subjected in the city of Quito. In the same way, the recovery and commercialization of their knowledge, traditions and practices. As well as spaces, traditions and knowledge that show cultural hybridization between a westernized mestizo society (dominant) and an aboriginal culture that struggles for the recovery of its knowledge (dominated). Furthermore, this research proposes to expose the main motivations for indigenous migration to the city of Quito. |
