Descripción : In Ecuador there are different educational institutions located in children with visual disabilities, among these is the case of the Mariana de Jesus Institute in Quito. Although teachers within the school are trained to teach children with visual disabilities, they lack specific resources and materials that complement their necessary education. The teaching product UPA, which is a complementary educational tool for the learning of children with visual disabilities in the Mariana de Jesus Institute in the area of autonomy and identity, which can be used in any educational institution, promotion and contribution to the inclusion of people with visual disabilities in educational establishments in the country; promoting the implementation and unification of children with visual disabilities within the educational thinking proposed by the Institute and supporting the continuation of their studies to achieve a complete education, this tool consists of an interactive teaching material created through different multimedia techniques, and intended to be a complementary material that supports the education that the children received, because it allows the development of their own identity by recognizing the distinctive physical characteristics of each person and what differentiates them from others. The study is an exploratory and descriptive type that consists of investigating different teaching techniques and learning methods applied to children with visual disabilities, as well as investigating the way in which said children perceive what they are taught and how they process what has been learned so that this way can adapt the interactive teaching material in the form of a complementary book to the education of the children, adapted to their needs. Therefore, the development of this product encourages a more participatory and inclusive education, using multimedia methods and techniques that make information processing more accessible, generating more efficient learning outcomes for children.
