Descripción : The present project develops an audible alarm system which allows vehicle drivers to be alerted if they have a state of drowsiness, through the use of image processing, allowing the tracking of the coordinates of the face as well as the axes of the eyes and after that the blinking, the method used is CONT this counter is guided by the time that the stage of detection of the relationship of the eyes does not detect these open ones. Through the development of the project, it is intended that the system be flexible with it not hindering the visibility of the driver when driving either made at any time of the day. For the development of the project, it was essential to establish the functional requirements, thereby achieving a correct choice of elements used in the system. Likewise, a study on the current situation was taken into account, allowing t define the parameters for the elaboration of the project design. The system works by monitoring the physiognomy of the eyes and excessive blinking towards the driver, at the time of showing signs of drowsiness or showing physiognomic changes the system proceeds to the activation of an auditory alert. The elements used for the development of the project in both software and hardware were; Raspberry Pi 3 model b +, camera Pi NoIR V2, OpenCV processing software and Python programming software these elements help meet the needs of the alarm system. The prototype is attachable to the vehicle; in this way it will be possible to demonstrate the functionality of the system. The results achieved through each phase of functionality are deduced that drivers of vehicles have sleep in a not so usual schedule as they are late at night. The prototype reacts in an efficient way under the existence of state of drowsiness, giving like results of almost null faults, for this reason the system is totally functional in front of the drivers of vehicles.
