The present investigation was carried out in two traditional crops that are guaba (Inga edulis) and naranjilla (Solanum quitoense). For guaba, the research was conducted in the province of Pichincha, Quito, Nayón parish, which has a temperature between 18 ° C to 22 ° C and is located at 2325 meters above sea level. Inga edulis is a specie used to provide shade in some crops such as coffee and cocoa. In the case of naranjilla was carried out in the province of Pichincha, San Miguel de los Bancos, community San José de Saloya that has a temperature between 15 °C and 32 ° C, an altitude of 1950 meters above sea level. Naranjilla is a traditional fruit used especially in the food industry. In this study, weekly observations were made of the vegetative and reproductive phenofases of the two crops in order to observe the time that each change has in the flowering phase and the beginning of fruit set. For which 15 guaba trees were selected in which 30 buds were marked to follow them in time and in the naranjilla 30 plants were selected, in each one 2 structures were marked to observe their development. During the study the guaba trees and selected naranjilla plants presented sprouting, foliage falls and constant fructification. These changes varied depending on the climatic conditions of the crops, since some phases are intensified by rainfall. With the results obtained, it was finally determined that the flowering stage lasted 155 days for the guava culture, while in the naranjilla it was delayed 100 days. With this, the phenological, visual BBCH scale of the flowering phase and the beginning of fruiting was carried out in order to present more information about the crops.en
