Resumen : El proyecto se enfoca en conocer el área productiva de una empresa de manufactura y comercialización de autos...
Descripción : The Company is dedicated to the automotive manufacturing and commercialization, the project focuses mainly on the productive area. In its value chain, it has 5 main processes, Material Handling, Welfare, Painting, Assembly and Quality. Each one of the raw materials must go through this processes to become final product, complying with the standards that the production plant has to ensure the customer satisfaction. This study is focused on the material handling area, which is responsible of receiving, managing and supplying the raw materials that will be used in the production plant to accomplish the automotive assembly. This shop consists of different processes which are: Pesados, Picking, Distribution, and these must be governed by plants production times, because this process handles the raw material that must reach the production line on time. Currently the Material Handling area is having problems such as, lack of time to complete the process, excess of movements, lack and excess of materials in the production line, production stops due to lack of materials. All of these problems directly involve the distribution process in the material handling area. In Search of the continuous improvement, it has been proposed to develop the optimization of the distribution process through line balancing. The development of this project starts with a SWOT analysis to obtain the information of the current context of the company, there is also a causal analysis to find root causes of the problems. Based on this information, the processes of must be studied, then is necessary to find relevant information to carry out a time and movements study, and this study define the appropriate standards for the work. After the determination of the current state of the processes, the proposal for the implementation of the line balancing was started searching for the optimization of the distribution processes. Based on the updated standard work sheets and the diagram of movements, with their analysis which includes the time and movements study, two new processes called satellites were implemented, this new processes are part of the distribution of material process. Finally, the project has an analysis of the obtained results with the implementation of the improvements, which is translate into an optimization in the operations, reaching a possible way to cover the current deficit of operators, in order to carry out the distribution process with the number of operators that are currently part of the distribution team.
