dc.descriptionThe elaboration of this titration work arises with the main purpose of providing a technical instrument that allows the implementation of different processes for the timely and efficient handling of solid waste (SW), which has been defined from the evaluation and diagnosis of the current condition on the generation and disposal of waste in the Chavezpamba parish. To carry out the diagnosis, a survey was carried out based on bibliographic review, surveys and interviews conducted with the main actors involved, as well as a series of field visits that allowed verifying the veracity of the information collected. In addition to the development of a characterization process, which was carried out based on the methodology proposed by the Pan American Center for Sanitary Engineering and Environmental Sciences (CEPIS), which consisted in carrying out the collection of the SW at the source of origin, the subsequent analysis of factors of utmost importance in the management of these, such as; density, generation per capita (GPC), physical composition and humidity, also, a demographic analysis was conducted which allowed to have knowledge about waste generation patterns, with a focus on the future. Based on this, results were obtained that place the parish within the standards suggested in various studies, but with slight variations in very specific criteria, but that adhere to the social and cultural conditions of the study area. Thus, by understanding the different elements that influence the provision of sanitation services, a series of proposals was established that allowed defining the guidelines of the Comprehensive Solid Waste Management and Management Plan for Chavezpamba Parish, which in turn It is divided into a row of subplanes that are focused on the main problems detected in the parish and in accordance with the needs of the inhabitants and the authorities of the Parish Government.en
