| dc.description | This research aims to acknowledge the alpacas, a native species from the Ecuadorian highlands, through the creation of an interactive book that combines pop-ups and augmented reality, the main purpose is to determine if the use of this tool is functional. It is a qualitative study and its scope is exploratory and descriptive. The instrument used for data collection is the non-participant observation of a group of four and five-year-old children in order to check the functionality of the book and the level of understanding of the story. First, the investigation focused on the paramo and the alpacas to determine relevant issues that lead to an understanding of their transcendence. To complement the research, the investigation contemplated preschool reading and the possible impact that interactive books could have on this cognitive process. Then, the planning and development stages were executed based on the diagnosis obtained on the investigation. Finally, the non-participant observation was made with a printed copy of the book, which allowed to obtain real conclusions about everything investigated. | en |
