dc.description | Modernity allows society to have access to artistic expressions that can be find in constructive or decorative elements. The Pergola is an object that satisfies decoration purposes as well as keeping safe the area of work, none the less, the materials used for construction tend to be quite expensive which limits its use for the vast majority. The main objective of this project is to be able to make a Pergola using Caña Guadua (Bambu) as an alternative to other materials that are generally used to build Pergolas. For that matter a practical and bibliographical investigation was necessary in order to determine different characteristics of this material. For example: flexibility mechanics of (1761.5 Kg-cm2), elasticity module of (258720 Kg-cm2), and compression resistance of (712.7 Kg-cm2). These Caña Guadua properties are superior compared to other materials such as wood and iron. In economical terms, the result was 646.44 $ and a construction time of 39hrs-man. Which makes its cost cheaper than wood and iron, making a Pergola of Cana Guadua more affordable to those in need of this construction tool. A manual with all the instructions and steps to follow, was created to help with the setting of the Pergola. It also includes a video tutorial as additional help. | en |
