| dc.description | La Mariscal Sucre is a neighborhood that has experienced an important growth in the city of Quito, where also its built heritage has been lost by the lawlessness that has been consolidated, causing a series of problems that affect the quality of life of its inhabitants. Ninth semester AR0960 2016 workshop, suggests several strategies that respond to the current situation in the sector. One of them is the implementation of equipment and facilities that provide to users services and benefits according to their needs. The Vigil House is part of the proposed equipment plan, and arises from the lack of funeral services in the northern part of La Mariscal. The project, in addition, seeks solutions of implementation with regard to its context and the theme that represents, through the understanding of symbolic aspects and also with the reinterpretation of its spaces. | en |
| dc.description.abstract | La Mariscal Sucre es un barrio que ha tenido un importante crecimiento en la ciudad de Quito, donde además su patrimonio edificado se ha ido perdiendo por la ilegalidad en la que se ha ido consolidando, provocando una serie de problemáticas que afectan a la calidad de vida de sus habitantes. En el taller de noveno semestre AR0960 2016, se proponen varias estrategias que den respuesta a la situación actual del sector. Una de ellas, es la implementación de equipamientos e instalaciones que provean a los usuarios servicios y prestaciones de acuerdo a sus necesidades. La casa de velación forma parte del plan de equipamientos propuesto, y surge por la falta de servicios funerarios en la zona norte de La Mariscal. El proyecto, además, busca soluciones de implantación con respecto a su contexto y al tema que representa, a través del entendimiento de aspectos simbólicos y también con la reinterpretación de sus espacios. | es_ES |
