dc.descriptionThis project consists of the development of a web application to analyze and compare different microphone techniques in order to provide a tool that can contribute to the learning process in the field of music production. In order to do so, recording of a selection of the most widely used microphone techniques applied to the instruments which are considered to be the most popular in modern music: electric guitar, electric bass, drums and vocals. During the recording process, different types and models of microphones are configured and combined in various positions and angles to assess and compare the sonic results. Some of the most important tools found in the mayoralty of professional recording studios and methods followed by the most recognized engineers and producers in the world are employed. The web application development uses technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and WordPress in their latest revisions while also employing Google is new trend in web design named Material Design. This project considered the content management system provided by WordPress in order to facilitate the process of addition of contents or functionalities, allowing the subsequent addition of more instruments or recording techniques, without additional programming. The result is a web application named Technica, The name combines the words technology and technical (technique in Spanish), properly representing this learning tool related to recording techniques, which supports a wide variety of devices, from computers to mobile devices, and enables worldwide accessibility through a web address.en
