| dc.description | The “Opti-Patients” system, treated in this titling project, was conceived as a solution to multiple problems and problems that occurred in the management of the administrative processes of the Optivalles medical center; improving the quality of services, speed of attention and reliability in the information handled. An obsolete system managed entirely by hand and distributed in several agendas was replaced by an automated system that reduces consultation times, facilitates the entry of information, provides timely responses and gives satisfaction to users; Through a Web interface tasks can be performed that previously conditioned the patient to approach the medical center or make phone calls. Additionally, there is a module for access from mobile devices such as cell phones, which means that you can have information much closer to users (patients and medical staff); This is undoubtedly an added value that will progressively benefit the medical center, reflecting quality and a modernization of its processes. It is also part of this project, to provide a reference to the use and exploitation of a development methodology, as well as design patterns and the use of WAP technologies. The system and its documentation have been built on an Open-Source environment, which means a system with lower production costs and much higher profitability for the client. | en |
