This business plan was realized with the objective of searching the viability of importing dyes used in concrete from the United States. This business plan seeks to offer builders a different and innovative alternative for their projects. The project was thought in order to offer a different product in the construction industry, which can provide a different appearance to the new buildings or those that have some years of construction. Initially, it began with the analysis of the external environment and the industry, in order to determine the feasibility of importing dyes according to the PEST study of Ecuador and the United States. The analysis was an important factor in determining opportunities such as threats that may appear to this business plan. In this way, it would be possible to determine in an early way the possible risks that the business plan may have giving the chance to take appropriate measures in order to resolve them. Subsequently, a qualitative and quantitative analysis of client was performed, which provided fundamental information for the business plan. Through this analysis it was possible to determine the price of the product which the customer would be willing to pay, the method that will be used to sell the dyes, and characteristics that the customer consider important for the acquisition of the product. This analysis gives a clear picture of what the customer is looking for and how the product could satisfy their needs. Finally, in order to verify the viability of the project in the economic aspect, a financial plan was made which provides the necessary information to demonstrate whether the business plan is viable or not withing a range of 5 years. This analysis provided information which indicated that the project would be viable with an internal rate of return (IRR) od 23.83 percent and an NVP od 21,217.60.en
