Resumen : El presente trabajo de titulación muestra la evaluación del impacto acústico que produjo la Avenida Simón Bolívar en los habitantes del conjunto residencial Jardines de Carcelén...
Descripción : The present titling work shows the evaluation of the acoustic impact produced by Simón Bolívar Avenue in the inhabitants of the Jardines de Carcelén residential complex. In addition, it presents the methodology to define mitigation proposals for this impact. The acoustic impact assessment is performed qualitatively and quantitatively. For the quantitative evaluation a digital model of the case study was carried out in the Cadnaa acoustic prediction software. Through the use of ISO 9613-2 and the RSL 90 road traffic prediction model, the methodology was designed to gather all the information necessary to develop the digital model. In addition, thanks to the Secretary of Mobility of the city of Quito, the characteristics of the avenue and the hourly vehicle flow were obtained. With respect to qualitative evaluation, ISO / TS15666 was applied, it is used for the design of socio-acoustic surveys. Surveys were conducted at 177 homes and the subjective impact could be identified in the case study. The results show that there is a nuisance on the part of the inhabitants and that the emission levels, in an identified sector, exceed the maximum levels recommended by the Colombian Ministry of Environment. For this reason, the design of 3 mitigation proposals was made. The focus of the proposals is defined in the 3 fundamental pillars of sound propagation: the emitter, the receiver and the propagation medium. Finally, the noise map was obtained for the case study and 3 mitigation proposals that meet the specific needs of the inhabitants.
