| dc.description | The current situation of Venezuelan citizens who have moved to neighboring countries of the southern cone, is a problem that emerges from the dictatorial regime imposed by President Nicolas Maduro, which has caused many of its citizens to flee in search of international protection before the Abuse of power exercised by the Venezuelan state, the same that every day violates the rights of its nationals. This displacement of thousands of Venezuelans across Latin American borders in search of better living conditions is an affair that afflicts the international community, especially those countries that receive these citizens, given the responsibility it represents for them to provide the due support to so many mobilized that, in the majority of cases, arrive in these countries in order to settle for long periods of time. Ecuador, being one of the countries that for the openness it has given to the issue of human mobility, and for the insertion in its constituent of migratory policies aimed at full respect for the human rights of migrants, is a country that receives every day thousands of Venezuelan citizens displaced in search of international protection, with the intention of gaining access to refugee status. To understand how Ecuador through its national and international policies executes actions that regulate the growing migratory flow of Venezuelan citizens in search of humanitarian assistance. It is necessary to analyze the political-economic context from which this crisis of displaced people arises, to further deepen on whether there is a vulnerability of rights in Venezuela or on the contrary, it is about economic migrants who move in search of better opportunities, even if they do not they suffer violation of rights. Finally, the procedure that determines whether a displaced person is in a situation of vulnerability and needs to receive refugee status will be established or, on the contrary, what are the third options that he can access to regulate his migrant status in the country. All this before the analysis of the norms of international and national regime that determines the matter of refuge for Ecuador. | en |
