| Resumen : | Los objetivos de este trabajo consistieron en evaluar el nivel de toxicidad de dos pesticidas de síntesis (clorpirifos y profonofos) usado en cultivos de la región sierra de Ecuador, a través de bioensayos con una especie nativa del país (guarango) y una especie de referencia (lechuga). Se establecieron siete tratamientos más un testigo, tres concentraciones o tratamientos para el pesticida clorpirifos (200 ppm, 60 ppm y 30 ppm) y tres concentraciones o tratamientos para el pesticida profenofos (200 ppm, 63 ppm y 30 ppm), adicionalmente el ultimo tratamiento fue la mezcla de las concentraciones bases de los dos productos químicos utilizados en el estudio. Se utilizaron semillas de cada especie y plántulas mayores a un mes y medio solo para la especie guarango. Se valoró la respuesta germinativa y el crecimiento radicular en las semillas y en las plántulas se valoró el peso aéreo, radicular y peso total, además de la supervivencia, el tamaño del tallo y el número de hojas presentes al inicio y final del ensayo. |
| Descripción : | The objectives of this work consisted in evaluating the level of toxicity of two synthetic pesticides (chlorpyrifos and profonofos) used in crops of the highlands of Ecuador, through bioassays with a native species of the country (guarango) and a reference species (lettuce). Seven treatments plus one control were established, three concentrations or treatments for the pesticide chlorpyrifos (200 ppm, 60 ppm and 30 ppm) and three concentrations or treatments for the profenofos pesticide (200 ppm, 63 ppm and 30 ppm), in addition the last treatment was the mixture of the base concentrations of the two chemicals used in the study. Seeds of each species and seedlings greater than a month and a half were used only for the guarango species. The germinative response and the root growth in seeds and seedlings were evaluated the aerial weight, root weight and total weight, besides the survival, the size of the stem and the number of leaves present at the beginning and end of the trial. |
