dc.description | In the following degree work, we will proceed to develop a design proposal for the production line of a company dedicated to the manufacture of precooked pizzas. From an initial diagnosis of the company we found certain deficiencies within the distribution of the productive areas, where it is evident that there are routes through which the raw material circulates with difficulty or there are occasions where the operator must walk several times through the same route. Through a demand forecast, the production of the following years was evaluated in order to obtain a more adequate distribution of areas that would help for future productions. The best location for the company was determined considering three locations two locations available from the company and one calculated through obtaining the center of gravity. It was proceeded to evaluate each of their areas through string diagrams and origin-destination tables. In this way, the most economical distribution of areas for the company would be calculated. Finally, the redistribution of productive areas would be designed, resulting in a layout of the factory.
