| dc.description | The present project of titration consists of 5 chapters in which it is based in investigating and designing a network WIMAX in convergence with WIFI to improve the quality of service of the company TEG-TEL where it is going to be seen from introduction and definitions until the design of the network and simulations. The first chapter consists of background, the scope that will have this project its main objective as well as specific, and finally the methodology to be implemented. The second chapter describes the definition, most important characteristics and types of wireless networks of both WIMAX technology and WIFI technology. In the third chapter the design of the WIMAX network, geographic coordinates and base radio is carried out where you can see the most common antennas for this technology and the convergence between WIMAX and WIFI. In the fourth chapter, a functional analysis of network design simulation software is performed, which explains distances, radio link powers and performance. In the fifth chapter all the conclusions and recommendations that can be given on this thesis are made. | en |
