Descripción : The following degree project is a business plan to create a pet friendly coffee shop in the north side of Quito, taking best practices from the United States. It is called “CAN-FECITO”. This project was inspired by the idea of sharing a space with pets without any limitations, creating a place where you can have a good coffee and at the same time spend time with the animals. To carry out this innovative, the cafeteria will have a specific area where animals can play and socialize. This project has an international focus based on the best cafeteria practices in the United States. This country was taken as an example since in most of the states there is a high level of acceptance of animals in public places and more technological innovations are improving these spaces and keeping customers happy. The objective of the project is to analyze it is feasibility and profitability. To obtain these results it was previously held an analysis of the environment, using the tools PEST and the 5 forces of Porter, which both presented favorable results for the implementation of this business. The target segment was identified through several qualitative and quantitative investigations. The investigations allowed us to understand the preferences and needs of the potential clients. The results in the clients analysis also presented opportunities, since the trend in pet care and acceptance of the business idea was affirmed. Finally, the financial analysis showed a positive result, which indicates that this is a viable project.
