| dc.description | The removable prosthesis is the treatment that allows us to recover the pieces that have been lost by different factors, whose objective is to improve the functions that the patient has lost, such as aesthetics, phonetics, mastication, etc. What most draws the attention of this treatment to the patients is their low cost and ease in their preparation. According to Al-lman et al., The success of treatment with removable partial dentures depends on indication, design and adequate follow-up for the patient. In addition, this study has demonstrated that psychosocial factors are important for patient satisfaction after treatment with removable prostheses and that influence oral health and quality. This research refers to the importance of knowing how satisfied our patients are, thus guaranteeing our work and therefore our education in the University. For them, a survey was performed on patients who had removable partial dentures performed in 2015 and 2016; the survey was conducted by phone call. A sample of 100 patients was taken. In conclusion, it was observed that 82.69 percent were satisfied with regard to the services provided by the UDLA Dental Care Center, however, 13 percent of those who wanted to change their prosthesis were chosen because of several factors. | en |
| dc.description.abstract | La Prótesis Removible es el tratamiento el cual nos permite recuperar las piezas que se han perdido por distintos factores, cuyo objetivo es mejorar las funciones que ha perdido el paciente como por ejemplo estética, fonética, masticación, etc. Lo que más llama la atención de este tratamiento a los pacientes es su bajo costo y facilidad en su confección. Según Al-lman et al., el éxito del tratamiento con prótesis parciales removibles depende de la indicación, el diseño y un seguimiento adecuado para el paciente. Además, este estudio ha demostrado que los factores psicosociales son importantes para la satisfacción del paciente después del tratamiento con Prótesis Removibles y que influyen en la calidad y salud oral. Esta investigación hace referencia a la importancia de conocer cuan satisfechos están nuestros pacientes, garantizando de esta manera nuestro trabajo y por ende nuestra educación en la Universidad. Para ellos se realizó una encuesta a pacientes que se realizaron prótesis parciales removibles en el año 2015 y 2016; la encuesta fue realizada mediante llamada telefónica. Se tomó una muestra de 100 pacientes. En conclusión, se observó que el 82.69 por ciento se mostró satisfecho en cuanto a los servicios prestados por parte del Centro de Atención Odontológico de la UDLA, sin embargo, se obtuvo un 13 por ciento que quisieran cambiar su prótesis por diversos factores. | es_ES |
