dc.description | This research is experimental-blind cross-cutting measure pretest and posttest, aimed to determine which of the two most consumed sports drinks major alteration in salivary pH in producing high-performance athletes. We use 36 volunteers, who are a high performance athletes, were used with a range of 20-25 years old, deportist were submitted to consume “most consumed beverage 1 – Gatorade” and “two most consumed beverage – Powerade”; the pH of the beverages studied was 4 on both Powerade and Gatorade. Each individual was subjected to the action of the drink during your workout (2 hours), this procedure was performed once a day with hourly intervals for each sample. The t Student for comparison between groups test determined that in no case significant differences between the groups were recorded, as in all cases p greater than 0.05.
