One of the most alternative treatments used is the Cervical Massage application. However, the massage effectiveness is limited when it is not associated with other treatments. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of massage with The Sub-occipital Soft Tissue Inhibition Technique, the Articulatory Therapy and the combination of these over the pain and functionality in patients with TH. Materials and Methodology: Forty patients between 18 and 60 ages diagnosed with TH were assigned, for convenience, to four groups (G1, G2, G3, G4). The G1 received just massage; G2 received massage with The Suboccipital Soft Tissue Inhibition Technique; G3 received massage with Articulatory Therapy, and G4 received massage, Sub-occipital Soft Tissue Inhibition Technique and the Articulatory Therapy. All groups were evaluated using Cervical Goniometry, Algometry, Visual Analog Scale, Anxiety state by the Inventory STAIE/R and the impact of headache by the HIT-6 questionnaire in the first, third and fifth week of treatment. All groups received one treatment session per week for 5 weeks… |
