Descripción : | This project carries out the design and dimensioning of a Local Area Network (LAN) and Internet data required by Guarumo Camp, taking into account that the various applications and core switches are in the cities of Quito and Lago Agrio. Theoretical framework was developed on the LAN and WLAN technologies available as well as a summary of the current standards and design fundamentals of LAN and WLAN, which served as reference for the analysis and selection of the most feasible technology. Prior to design was made an analysis of the current situation Guarumo Headquarters of the Institute of Petroleum Studies; for it was carried out of the information collection regarding the current and future technology needs of Guarumo Headquarters. Were designed wired and wireless networks, based on the requirements obtained in the previous analysis and dimensioning of the Internet network, to obtain a reliable local connection, which allows the exchange of information at high speeds and with minimal losses. A data network plane of the Guarumo, center of operations, was generated with wiring routes and location of the telecommunications room, the network will support multiservice business training processes. Once the design was performed, a cost - benefit analysis was made; for it was determined a TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and the feasibility analysis for the implementation and administration of the Guarumo center. Finally the conclusions and recommendations were made; these conclusions have been estimated in the project's development and will be the pattern of a good implementation of the planned information networks. |
