dc.descriptionGenocide used to be a nameless crime committed throughout History without any penalty for its perpetrators, accomplices and any recognition for its victims. Therefore, after his diligent pursuit of justice, Rafael Lemkin met his objective in the UN General Assembly on December 11th, 1948 being adopted unanimously its Resolution 96 (I9), with the purpose of, approve the criminalization of genocide. This meant the recognition of genocide as a crime under international law, contrary to the spirit and aims of the United Nations and condemned by the United Nations. Being its penal nature ratified in 1948 through The Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocideen
