dc.descriptionThe goal of this study is to understand the language and style of the American bass player Steve Swallow. By focusing on his developments as a composer, accompanist and soloist, it is possible to understand Swallows musicianship as a whole. The research delves into Swallows creative and technical processes through the transcription and subsequent analysis of audible material. The studys findings examine a wide range of devices utilized by Swallow in the three facets of his career. Some of these devices are recurrent while others are not; nonetheless the findings provide interesting material for examination that can engage the reader with different perspectives on how to make music.en
dc.description.abstractEl presente documento se propone explorar el lenguaje y el estilo del bajista norteamericano Steve Swallow, enfocándose en los rasgos característicos de sus facetas como compositor, acompañante y solista. Actualmente no existen suficientes publicaciones o fuentes que analicen a profundidad los rasgos constitutivos del lenguaje y del estilo de Steve Swallow. Los resultados adquiridos permiten aprender más acerca del bajista en estos tres ámbitos. Dentro de los hallazgos existen recursos recurrentes como existen recursos poco recurrentes, sin embargo todos son objetos de estudio interesantes. Las conclusiones exploran estos recursos y sus implicaciones, mediante extractos que se pueden visualizar en las transcripciones y en los análisis.es_ES
