Descripción : The present research´s main objective to determine if there is a relationship between the levels of Work Satisfaction and Burnout Syndrome found in teachers who work in the School and high School Our Lady of the Swan of the City of Quito. It is necessary to point out that the Ecuadorian Educational reality is not alien to the presence of this Syndrome and to the dissatisfaction with work. The research will be of the Correlational type, since it will be working describing relations between two or more variables at a given moment in time, for this reason, the research´s focus will be relations of a quantitative nature, since these are descriptions but not of the individual variables, but of their statistical relations; Whether there are purely correlations or causal relationships. The instruments that will be used are the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and the "Opinions on working life" questionnaire of Hamel, Ibarra, Leiva, Ottenberger and Palma (1987), which will allow us to produce results that show the existence of certain levels of acute work stress or burnout syndrome and in the same way, the presence or not of work satisfaction in the participants. Taking this measurement will allow, if necessary, to intervene in an appropriate way once to avoid or mitigate the harmful consequences of Burnout Syndrome for both the teaching staff and the institution, and in turn generate necessary changes aimed to improving or optimizing work satisfaction among the studied population
