Abstract

Within the qualification workshop ARO 960 2015/2016 a POU Urban Planning Plan was elaborated for the Parish Port Francisco de Orellana, work that was done jointly with the municipality. The fundamental axis of this plan is to analyze different urban parameters today, in order to provide a diagnosis, and therefore a solid proposal. This proposal will allow us to reactivate and promote all the urban areas of the city in such a way as to provide a better quality of life for its citizens. The territory was divided in four zones, the Technological Innovation located in the north header of the airport, Recreational /Tourist located in the east side of the airport, Cultural located in the southern part of the airport, and Administrative and Services located in the west side from the airport. In the Technological Innovation area, it intends to implement equipment, as its name says it of a technological nature, to enhance research, knowledge within the Amazon, being also a support for the whole community, improving the quality of life and access to information. The Library intends not only to provide a place where books are housed, where knowledge is, but that is an equipment of free access, that allows the exchange of knowledge, and to know among the different users, enhancing the public space as an articulating axis between the community and architecture. In Coca there are two fundamental aspects that make this city an ideal place for the conception of a library of this magnitude, the first is that due to its economic position due to oil, it has become the focus of the Ecuadorian Amazon, taking advantage of this, the model of this equipment will serve as a prop in a project to massify libraries, create a network. The second aspect is the need and lack of this city for equipment, where children, youth, adults and elderly can share, interact and recreate, and providing quality infrastructure.
